The students picked a vernal pool species, researched it and wrote about it. To illustrate their text, each student sculpted from clay two versions of the species studied. The students then set up a model habitat in the classroom for their "animals" and used a digital camera to photgraph them. This is an amazing poster. The students were quite proud of their sculptures and none would part with one to provide us with an example. The sculpted animals are approximately 3 inches in size.
