| Wood frog tadpoles are easy to raise and grow very quickly. One or two tadpoles in a gallon of water with some plant material for food should grow to the point of metamorphosis into a frog in a few weeks. Feed them algae, leaves (natural or spinach and romaine lettuce), or other wetland vegetation. Release them when they have four legs. At this point in development, they become air-breathing meat-eaters. Not only will they be difficult to feed, but they will drown in your aquarium unless they can crawl onto a rock or other solid ground. |
