Dress Properly

Always dress for the occasion. It is very important to remember that when you visit a vernal pool, you will be walking through areas that are thickly wooded, swampy, wet, and muddy. Keep in mind that your clothing needs to protect you from things such as poison ivy and thorns. If you are going to be wading in the vernal pool, wear boots or sneakers to protect your feet.
