Watch for Poison Ivy

Be able to recognize poison ivy and poison sumac. An easy rule is to avoid all plants with three shiny, green leaflets. If you should happen to accidentally brush up against, or have any type of contact with any sort of leafy plants, that you think might be poison ivy or sumac, do not scratch or touch the affected area. Instead, immediately tell your teacher and wash the area with soap and water once you have returned to the classroom.
